Little Star

I first met Crystal...actually, I can't remember when I first met Crystal. I just remember always knowing her. I think we first met in Pre-K when we were four. We sat on plastic barrels together, and sang in a play about sheep together. She is my oldest friend.

When our family moved, we kept in touch because our moms were friends, but as time went on, we lost touch. Until, through the magic of social media, we reconnected only to find she lived miles from my house, married to an acquaintance. And when we got together, it was like no time had passed and we were fast and dear friends again.

On Monday, I had the incredible privelege to photograph the moments before and after the birth of her second daughter. I don't really have words to describe how honored I felt (and feel) to be invited into these sweet, private moments. To watch Crystal as her hour old daughter gazed up into her eyes, to see the elation on her face and the pride on Aaron's - these are moments I will never forget.

Here are some of these sweet moments!

Andy & Rachele

A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure to photograph the wedding of Andy and Rachele. I first met Rachele nearly three years ago when she took care of our daughter while she was in the NICU. She has since become a treasured friend and I was jubliant to learn that she was engaged!

Rachele and Andy's wedding was a wonderfully sweet, no-fuss, faith centered event. It was utterly them. Andy looked dapper in his dress whites and Rachele was stunning in her grand-mother's wedding gown. It was truly an honor to be a part of their beautiful celebration! Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Bekah & Jonny

I don't even know where I could begin to explain the honor I felt when asked to photograph the wedding of these two people, so I shall refrain and let the pictures tell what a beautiful, sweet day their wedding day was.

Em and Linds

These girls. I love them. It was their wonderful mother's birthday last month, and we did some photos as a gift to her. The fall colors were just beginning (though now they are all finished) and it was a lovely afternoon in the park!

Oh, if only there were words enough to tell you about this girl. I have know this beautiful soul since she was three years old when I started baby-sitting for her and her sister and brother. We spent hours playing hide and seek, watching Disney movies and being silly. She was in kindergarten the year I graduated from high-school. Here's a photo of us from that summer.

A couple weeks ago I had the privelege of taking her senior portrait. Isn't she lovely?

Of course, she is also a giant goofball.

                      But mostly lovely.

I can't think of anything else to say about her without getting sappy and sentimental, except for I LOVE YOU, LAURA!
